Finally, a place that recycles car seats. The bags came in the mail and I put the car seats in, sealed the bag, attached the shipping label, and dropped them off at the UPS store. That was it. Thank you!
I was so happy to find this option as our carseat was too old/used to donate but I didn't want to throw it in the trash. Ths process really could not have been easier!
It feels great to recycle a car seat, since you can't really donate them. I only wish this solution were more accessible and affordable for everyone so that we could get more people doing it.
As kids age, we all acquire a graveyard of expired and outgrown car seats that can’t be reused. They are big and bulky and definitely don’t belong in a landfill. I am so glad that my internet search on what to do led me to carseatrecycling.com. This company makes the process so easy!! The price was a little higher than I might’ve liked, but after I paid, I had the recycling bag and label within a few days and dropped the car seat off at UPS a few days later. So easy and convenient! And I feel good (actually great!) knowing that the car seat materials will be recycled. In the end, definitely worth the monetary cost to avoid the environmental cost. Hope you’ll make the same decision I did - you won’t regret it!
I have always used Car Seat Recycling for all my seats (4 of them). It’s easy to use, decently priced, and just the right thing to do for the environment.
It was so easy to recycle our car seats. Get had been hanging out in our basement for a couple years, too dirty to donate but throwing them in the trash felt wrong.

I am grateful to have a place to recycle my grandchildren's car seats as they outgrow them.
I decided to spare my son and his wife the hassle of getting rid of their infant car seat. With two under three, I knew it would sit in their garage collecting dust indefinitely. When I realized that these items could not be given to the local thrift store, my options became the local dump or recycle. I googled the recycle option and got two results. Target and you. Target required you buy new seat from them in order to do that. I was delighted with your system (it was a bit pricier than I would have liked, a car seat and two bases), and immediately ordered the shipping bags. They came quickly and the items were bagged up and sent off to be recycled. I felt pretty good about that. Thanks for your environmental responsibility.
Enormous thick plastic bags will accommodate any child seat. Twist the leftover portion at the top & wrap many times with the provided long sticky tape. Apply the prepaid label & drop at UPS store.
As a grandmother, I agreed to deal with the outgrown infant car seat as my son and his wife were struggling to balance care of two under three and full time jobs.
How hard could it be? First of all, no thrift store would accept a used car seat, too much liability. I googled and learned Target would recycle, BUT you had to buy a replacement car seat for that to happen. I went back to google and found your site. The price seemed a little high, but in the end I felt worth it. The bags arrived promptly and I took the seat and two bases to a local UPS. They were off to be recycled and I felt great. Note: the UPS employee was a bit puzzled about the bagged seat, had not dealt with the process, but I showed him your instructions and he went with it.

I have had our infant car seats sitting in our garage for about 5 years. I hated the thought of throwing them away. This service was efficient and so easy. And I am more glad that they can be recycled. Thanks again!
This service was so easy it is shocking its not readily available or more widely promoted. Some may be shocked by the price to recycle a car seat but to consider what they are saving the environment, the effort to disassemble it properly, and recycle what they can it commendable. This service is an effort in good faith that we are sending our used car seats to be properly handled rather than just going to the dump. Thank you! You could not have made this any easier or more affordable after getting nearly 10 years out of our car seat. We will be coming back very soon when done with the next ones.
